Since launching the site in March we've taken on several new clients who, fortunately for us, take up most of our time with billable work (that means we can't update our site as often because we need to be making money!).

The dev blog has kind of fallen behind as well, sorry about that too. Though we have been working with a lot of cool tools lately that may be worthy of a short post on the dev blog, so maybe there will be something new up there soon. Anyhoo, just wanted to make a quick post to let you all know that we are definitely NOT dead!
... They've taken the best sites they can find for each category and posted them up for all to see. It's a great resource when you're looking for inspiration for a specific type of website design.

Speaking of designs, we'll be posting up a slightly re-designed version of simplemodus.com up soon! We're re-arranging things in order to better our ranking in the search engines. Stay tuned!
... If you can refer a new client to us, then you will be eligible for $50.00 or 5% of the first invoice we collect from that client (which ever amount is greater). There are a few things that you need to do to be considered a legitimate referrer.

First you need to contact us through our contact form, and let us know who you're referring to us. In your message, please include all relevant contact information for this potential client.

Second, we will need all of your contact information (that is unless you don't want to get paid). We prefer that you send that information when you initially contact us with your referral. Please include your name, email, address, and phone number.

Third, the company/person that you're referring to us will need to be aware of your referral. In other words, if we call them about your referral, and they've never heard of you, you'll no longer be eligible for a referral bonus for that client. So make sure that whomever you put us in contact with knows who you are!

That's it! We do the rest of the work. Please be aware that we cannot pay out a bonus for a client if we do not collect payment on at least one invoice from them. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to hop onto our contact form and get in touch!

... Unlike other attempts by Microsoft to step into other markets and failing miserably (hello zune?), this one actually seems to show some promise. It will be interesting to see how many developers start supporting it. If you're still unsure of what silverlight is exactly you can check out the silverlight website.

"Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of Microsoft .NET-based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web."

If you're interested in seeing a demo, get ahold of us! We will soon be adding Silverlight development to our arsenal of tools.

...
